Silent and Online Auctions

Dr. Ivan Van Sertima has made available to The New Jersey Historical Society, for auction:

- One set of allJournal of African Civilizations publications, (edited and founded by Dr. Ivan Van Sertima) known for their excellence and uniqueness among historical and anthropological journals. It is the first historical journal in the English-speaking world which focuses on the heartland, rather than on the periphery of African civilizations.

- One copy Dr. Van Sertima'scelebrated classic,They Came Before Columbus, will also be available for bidding.

Bidding

Bidding for Dr. Van Sertima's publications will take place during the silent auction at the Gala on September 25, 2008. Individual seating per person ranges from $500 - $2,500.

Bids for otherselected items online at www.jerseyhistory.cmarket.com will take place from September 1, 2008 - September 23, 2008. The Honorable Frank Lautenberg and The Honorable Nina Mitchell Wells, Honorary Co-Chairs, request the pleasure of your company.
